As one of the founders of www.fanfairalliance.org we’ve been fighting for a reform to legislation in the UK around ticketing for nearly ten years now. Thankfully Labour have pledged to make resale at more than a 10% profit illegal, so if they get into Government in July we will finally have won our battle to stop music and sports fans being ripped off. This article in the Guardian by journalist Rob Davies where he infiltrated a meeting of ticket touts and secondary ticket platforms like Viagogo and Gigsberg is another damning nail in the coffin of the heinous practice of wholesale harvesting of tickets from the primary onsale to resell at hugely inflated profits once they’re scarce.
